Location: If you Google “Jasper, MO” the little pin that drops down on the map more or less falls directly on Gem Dandy’s. It is across the street from SMB Bank and the Jasper City office. It is within a block of the post office, the 100 Grand Event Center, the Jasper Police dept., and Jasper Tavern 2.0. The Jasper R5 School campus is within walking distance, and the other businesses in town aren’t much further (actually, several are right next-door in the “downtown” area). You won’t get a better seat when it comes time for a Jasper parade, or for Jasper Days.
Restaurant: Approximately 2000 sq. ft
Gem Dandy’s currently has a seating capacity of approximately 32 people, though this could be expanded if tables are rearranged. There is a spacious room to the side that has been used as a “Party room” on many occasions, and can comfortable seat 12-15 people, (a flat screen TV to show sporting events would be a big hit here). Outside there is a patio area that has tremendous potential for someone with even the slightest green thumb. A few flower pots, or hanging baskets, and this area is a delightful place to meet and enjoy a meal. Seating has traditionally been kept small for this area, but could be expanded.
The Kitchen area has seen much improvement over the last years, with many pieces of new equipment being added to replace older ones. Among these items of new equipment are: a pizza oven, industrial dishwasher, ice maker, Mr. Slim heating and cooling units (both in the dining room and the kitchen), and new refrigerators and freezers.
All of the equipment necessary to run a pizzeria are included. This means everything from the prep tables to the pizza pans will be part of the package.
The most import thing that is being offered (as far as the restaurant), is the soul of Gem Dandy’s. We will provide all of our recipes and procedures, contacts with our food vendors and associates, etc. Seeing Gem Dandy’s succeed is still a very important priority to us, and we are willing to offer every bit of training and assistance we can to make sure of this. We don’t want fear of the unknown to be a barrier, and we will give whatever help we can to help Gem Dandy’s succeed.
Attached apartment: Approximately 1200 sq. ft
The property also comes with an apartment attached to the restaurant. It is great for a small family, having 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom, with a small backyard. The house is gas heated, with window units for air conditioning. Most of the house is downstairs, with a small upstairs section that makes a wonderful bedroom/play area for the kids. The backyard is big enough for a swing set, and/or small pool. Behind the house there is a small shed for storage. This unit has been used both as housing for the owners of the restaurant, or rented out to trusted tenants as a source of additional income.
